Senior Investment Accountant

Physicians Mutualâ?? s Finance team is hiring!

We are seeking a detail-oriented Senior Investment Accountant to ensure the accurate and timely input of financial data into our investment and accounting systems. This role plays a critical part in maintaining the integrity of the investment system by extract files and providing essential support for reporting, reconciliation, and compliance within our Corporate Accounting function.

What Youâ??ll Do in This Role â?¦

• Accurately input and manage investment-related financial data within the accounting system.
• Ensure the integrity of general ledger input and financial records.
• Support investment reporting, reconciliation, and compliance initiatives.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, auditors, and management to maintain accurate investment accounting records.
• Align investment accounting processes with regulatory requirements and internal controls.

Qualifications:

• College degree with focus in Finance, Investments, Accounting or Business Administration is required.
• 3-5 yearsâ?? experience in financial data management or investment accounting is required.
• Proficiency with investment accounting software - such as Princeton Financial Systems (PAM).
• Proficiency with Bloomberg database and IDC pricing service.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, database reporting software, and general ledger software (Workday preferred).
• Proficiency with compliance controls and risk mitigation.
• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
• Familiarity with accounting systems and general ledger processes.
• Ability to work collaboratively across teams and with external auditors.
