C-STORE MANAGER (FT) - Legacy Coop (Northgate) - Scottsbluff, NE

Legacy Coop is currently looking for a Convenience Store Manager for our Northgate location in Scottsbluff, NE.  The manager will provide guidance and planning for day-to-day operations and directly supervise all facility employees.  

This position is full-time and comes with Legacy Coop's full-time benefits package including retirement, 401K, holiday, vacation and sick time, as well as competitive pay.  

Essential duties include but are not limited to:

• Directly supervise all employees conducting interviews, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work, evaluating performance; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

• Develop and manage a weekly schedule for all location employees coordinating approval of all overtime through the Energy Manager.

• Collaborate and meet regularly with central manager to discuss business operations and management issues.

• Provide customer service by greeting and assisting customers, and responding to customer inquiries and complaints.

• Monitor sale transactions to ensure that customers receive satisfactory service and quality of goods.  Develop appropriate marketing and promotion plans using discounts and rebated from vendors.

• Keep the store in neat orderly condition at all times including maintenance, cleanliness, and upkeep. 

• Assist Energy Manager in preparing budget, which includes reviewing monthly P&L for budget compliance to make necessary adjustments.  Meet or exceed monthly and yearly budget requirements. 

• Update gas prices, food prices, and merchandise prices with price changes. 

• Assess competitors keeping up to date with prices, vendor selection, etc.

• Responsible for inventory management and ordering stock on a monthly basis. 

• Responsible for daily opening and closing procedures including reconciling cash receipts, cash handling, etc.

• Enforce safety, health, and security rules.

• All other duties assigned by management and direct supervisors.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
