Job Summary: Perform administrative tasks to support the HR department. The Human Resources Administrative Assistant provides key administrative support to the HR department by focusing on recruiting coordination, onboarding, new hire orientation, team member file maintenance, and HR-related customer service.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide day-to-day administrative support to the HR department.
- Oversee the Application Tracking System
- Place employment recruitment advertisements and monitor hiring managers’ compliance with employment inquiry/application procedures.
- Track pre-hire documents and assist in processing offer letters, background checks, and new hire paperwork.
- Schedule and facilitate New Hire Orientations, which includes communication of history, services, organizational structure, employment policies, procedures, benefits, and expectations.
- Maintain and audit personnel files in compliance with company policy and legal requirements.
- Ensure collection of required personnel file documents, including new hire documents, Job Descriptions, Performance Evaluations, valid driver’s license, current proofs of vehicle insurance, professional licenses, bi-annual criminal histories, compensation/benefit changes, etc.
- Reviews, tracks, and documents compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education and work assignments.
- Respond to routine HR-related inquiries and direct more complex issues to the Human Resources Director.
- Assist with data entry into HR systems, spreadsheets, and reports.
- Ensure confidentiality and proper handling of sensitive employee data and documents.
- Assist with additional HR projects and administrative tasks as assigned.

Qualifications and Requirements:
- Minimum education and experience:
- High school diploma, with a Bachelors in Business Administration or Human Resources Management preferable.
- 3 years’ experience in managing complex administrative tasks with a high degree of accuracy and confidentiality
- Or equivalent combination of above.
This role is ideal for a highly organized, detail-oriented individual with strong administrative skills who is eager to learn and grow in the HR field. While prior HR experience is not required, the ability to manage sensitive information, multi-task, and provide excellent internal service is essential.

3. Physical Demand:
- The ability to frequently communicate with NCHS team members and community partnerships.
- Able to inspect written communication and respond to directions and hazards.
- Able to move equipment weighing up to 35 pounds.
- Occasionally ascends/descends stairs in the building and home structures.
- Able to operate a computer and other office equipment.
- Able to remain in a stationary position and move about different work environments.
- This position requires access to reliable and safe transportation. A copy of insurance and registration will be required upon hiring.

- Infrequent and short period travel to other Agency sites and for conferences and meetings
- Site factors (work location, environment, travel, etc.):
- Work in office setting and/or remotely.
- Office in Omaha
- Local travel will be required with state-wide travel on occasion for meetings.

Salary/Wage: $22.00/hr - $24.00/hr depending on education and experience
