The Director of Finance is responsible for the daily, monthly and quarterly financial operations and the accounting functions of Catholic Mutual Group. Directs the daily financial operations, recommends accounting policies and procedures and supervises staff to ensure compliance with policies and procedures. Responsible for documenting and maintaining adequate general internal accounting controls. Directs the preparation of accurate and timely financial reporting in accordance with GAAP for internal and external users and reviews for accuracy. Coordinates the preparation of work papers and correspondence with independent auditors.

The individual in this position must have a minimum of five years’ insurance accounting experience. Strong interpersonal and supervisory skills are essential. The individual should be highly proficient in the use of Microsoft Excel, along with proficient in other Microsoft Office applications. The minimum education requirement is a four-year college degree with a major in accounting. The Certified Public Accountant distinction is preferred.
