Position Summary
The HRIS Analyst is responsible for maintaining the integrity, functionality, and reliability of the District’s Human Resources Information System. This role collaborates with HR, Business Office, and Technology teams to support HR, payroll, benefits, and related system needs. The analyst ensures data accuracy, supports system updates, writes reports, and identifies process improvements to enhance HR operations.
Key Responsibilities:

  • HR System Support: Serve as technical lead for HRIS; maintain system integrity and troubleshoot issues.
  • System Maintenance & Upgrades: Test and implement HRIS patches and updates; document processes and outcomes.
  • Reporting & Analytics: Develop and maintain reports and queries to support HR and Business Office functions and ensure data quality.
  • Process Improvement: Recommend and help implement workflow enhancements and policy changes; manage HRIS-related projects.
  • Systems Integration: Oversee integrations with third-party systems (e.g., payroll, benefits, leave tracking); manage data uploads using Excel, SQL, etc.
  • Training & Documentation: Create user guides and train staff on HRIS usage and new features.
  • Compliance Reporting: Coordinate state and federal reporting requirements including NDE, NSSRS, NPERS, ACA, OCR, and tax filings. 
  • Professional Development: Stay current on HRIS trends, tools, and best practices.
  • Other Duties: Participate in user groups and perform additional tasks as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in HR, Information Systems, or equivalent.
Effective project management and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Proficient in technology tools and applications.

Preferred Qualifications
Minimum 5 years of combined HRIS and HR experience.

Strong knowledge of HR systems, data management, and reporting.

Experience in a public school setting.
Familiarity with state/federal reporting, especially Nebraska Department of Education requirements.
Prior experience leading HRIS upgrades and implementations
